ALTON EDC AND GREATER ALTON CHAMBER OF COMMERCE ANNOUNCE IVAN GONZALEZ, AS CEO & PRESIDENT
ALTON, TEXAS — April 20, 2025— The City of Alton Economic Development Corporation (Alton EDC) and the Greater Alton Chamber of Commerce are pleased to announce the appointment of Ivan Gonzalez, MSc IB, as Chief Executive Officer and President, leading both organizations in their shared mission to strengthen Alton’s economy, support local businesses, and create new opportunities for the community.
In this leadership role, Gonzalez will oversee economic development initiatives focused on business attraction, retention and expansion, entrepreneurship, commercial development, and strategic partnerships, while also leading the Chamber’s efforts to grow membership, strengthen business advocacy, and provide resources and opportunities for the local business community.
Gonzalez brings experience in economic development, business development, international business, entrepreneurship, and community engagement. His approach emphasizes building strong relationships between the public and private sectors and creating an environment where businesses of all sizes can invest, grow, and succeed.

Under Gonzalez’s leadership, the Alton EDC and Greater Alton Chamber of Commerce will continue working collaboratively to position Alton for long-term economic growth through commercial and retail development, entrepreneurship programs, workforce initiatives, business education, and regional partnerships.
