Local entrepreneurs gained valuable insights into turning their recipes into market-ready products during an engaging masterclass.
The Greater Alton Chamber of Commerce proudly hosted another successful Lunch & Learn session on Tuesday, October 27, 2026, bringing together local entrepreneurs and aspiring food business owners for an informative Product Development Masterclass.
Held at the Arturo Galvan Sr. Development Center, the event featured Elizabeth Davis of MIRNA Food Business Academy & Consulting, who shared valuable knowledge and practical strategies to help entrepreneurs take their food products to the next commercial level.
Throughout the session, attendees explored important topics, including product development strategies, commercial kitchen optimization, and the steps involved in transforming a homemade recipe into a commercially viable product.
The event saw a great turnout, with local entrepreneurs showing strong interest, asking questions, and engaging in meaningful discussions about the opportunities and challenges of growing a food-based business.
One of the highlights of the session was the wealth of practical information shared, helping participants better understand what it takes to move from an idea or recipe to a product ready for the marketplace.
"It's always exciting to see local entrepreneurs eager to learn and take the next step in their business journey. These are exactly the types of opportunities we want to continue bringing to our community," said the Greater Alton Chamber of Commerce.
The Chamber extends its sincere appreciation to Elizabeth Davis and MIRNA Food Business Academy & Consulting for sharing their expertise, as well as to everyone who attended and contributed to the success of the event.
