City of Alton Economic Development Corporation Certified to Offer Kauffman FastTrac® Program, Empowering Local Entrepreneurs
Alton, Texas – November 3, 2025 — The City of Alton Economic Development Corporation (EDC) is proud to announce that it has officially become an Affiliate of the Ewing Marion Kauffman Foundation and is now certified to facilitate the nationally recognized Kauffman FastTrac® program.
This certification marks a major milestone for the City of Alton as it continues to strengthen its commitment to supporting local entrepreneurs, small business owners, and innovators. Through the Kauffman FastTrac® program, Alton EDC will provide hands-on entrepreneurial education, tools, and mentorship to help participants start and grow successful businesses right here in Alton.
“Our focus has always been on empowering our local community,” said Ivan Gonzalez, CEO of the Alton Economic Development Corporation. “Becoming a certified Kauffman FastTrac® Affiliate allows us to offer world-class training opportunities that inspire entrepreneurship, create jobs, and build a stronger local economy for Alton.”
The FastTrac® program, developed by the Kauffman Foundation, is designed to help aspiring and existing business owners validate ideas, develop strategic plans, and gain the confidence and network needed to achieve success. By hosting this program locally, Alton EDC is opening new doors for residents who want to turn their business ideas into reality and contribute to the city’s continued growth and innovation.
