In May, the Alton Economic Development Corporation team traveled to the International Council of Shopping Centers Convention (ICSC) in Las Vegas to promote everything that makes Alton a community worth investing in.

Throughout the conference, we met with businesses, developers, and industry leaders from across the country to share the story of Alton — a growing city filled with opportunity, momentum, and incredible people.

Our team had the opportunity to showcase what makes Alton special: a strong sense of community, a hardworking and welcoming population, strategic location advantages, and a city that continues to grow while staying deeply connected to its roots.

From business recruitment conversations to relationship-building meetings, every conversation centered around one goal: bringing new opportunities, investment, and businesses to Alton.

We’re proud to represent our city on a national stage and excited about the connections and possibilities ahead. Sometimes growth starts quietly — with conversations in convention halls, coffee meetings, and a shared vision for what a community can become. And out there beneath the neon lights of Vegas, Alton’s future was part of the conversation.
